Job Description: Local independent privately held oil and gas firm is searching for a qualified Accountant to add to their team! Applicant will have a Degree in Accounting or equivalent, (CPA strongly preferred) and a minimum for four (4) years experience in the oil and gas field. Main job duties include, but are not limited to: G/L, production/joint interest billings, revenue, taxes, treasurer clerk, budgets reports, and financial. OTHER QUALIFICATIONS: ? Proficient in software programs including, Word, Excel, and Access ? Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing, including situations in which opposition may be encountered ? Attention to detail, use of correct spelling and grammar, and ability to perform mathematical calculations with a high degree of accuracy along with basic accounting issues ? Ability to learn new tasks ? Ability to work effectively and make decisions under deadline pressure and in ambiguous circumstances ? Ability to work effectively with co-workers and to remain calm in disputes or while working under pressure ? Ability to work independently and be proactive in obtaining information necessary to carry out job duties ?
