Job: Actuarial Tech II (TCM)
Jobing Description
This position provides basic skills for assisting the Actuarial department with most tasks.
Based on specific business needs, this position will do some or all of the following
Significant data manipulation and complex calculations using macros and other programs.
Significant analysis required on most projects.
May supervise Assistant Actuarial Technician I or II, or Actuarial Technician I.
Have sign-off responsibility for smaller projects and possibly a larger project.
Works independently with minimal supervision.
Builds projection models from scratch and reviews results.
Verifies and reconciles financial reporting data, prepares periodic reports for other departments with minimal supervision.
Understands and manipulates basic actuarial concepts and formulas.
Analyze and verify pricing models.
Qualifications
Bachelors degree in actuarial science, mathematics or relevant area or 3 - 5 years relevant work experience. Knowledge of topics covered in SOA courses 1 & 2 (including Interest Theory). Completion of exam preferred but not required.
