Position Description:
This person will be assigned to wide variety of care solutions projects and will be responsible for gathering requirements, documenting requirements, working with stakeholders in order to analyze requirements, and working closely with other Business Analyst on larger more complex projects as assigned.

Create, enhance, and maintain budget or financial planning models, surveys, benchmarks. Evaluate, interpret and analyze data and business process and analyze/monitor new, routine and ad hoc reports. Provide support when compiling and reporting information and assume responsibility for data integrity among various internal groups and/or between internal and external sources. Support short term operational activities.
The responsibilities of this position include serving as a business analyst to all products, operations and functions in OptumHealth Care Solutions, ensuring OptumHealth Care Solutions is a transformational force in the health care system, helping people live their lives to the fullest.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct business process analysis to identify key business issues, gaps or needs
- Document as-is and to-be business processes
- Evaluate and validate analysis and develop recommendations
- Recognize gaps between current situation and desired outcome and utilize appropriate resources to obtain information, consider options, document recommendations and deliver the appropriate solution
- Analyze root cause issue, problem solve and provide key recommendations for process improvements
- Resolve complex business problems (technical, product, service, process, operations, organizational)
- Work across a matrix environment to engage appropriate internal and external partners to assure successful analysis, risk identification, option determination and tactical execution
- Manage issues, risks, project work and deliverables
- Effectively engage and partner with cross-functional teams to create and deliver solutions
- Business Requirement gathering capability
- Process documentation capability
- Ability, skill and comfort with data analysis and process documentation, management & improvement
- Utilize rigorous logic and methods to solve problems with effective solutions, reach sound business judgment, execute plan and engage mid-course corrections as required
- Effective data analysis and interpretation skills, able to draw and present quantitative conclusions
- Ability to function in a multi-initiative, matrix, change driven environment
- Incorporate UnitedHealth Group and OptumHealth vision, mission, values and goals in all decision-making
- Create, build and maintain relationships that enhance corporate performance, establishing trust and credibility throughout the organization

Skills / Requirements
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree
- Intermediate level of proficiency with MS Word, Excel,
- 1+ year presentation/facilitation experience
Assets:
- Healthcare experience
- MS Visio
- Excellent communication, time/project management, problem solving, organizational, and analytical skills required.
