Jobing Description

Community Bridges Inc is one of the largest behavioral health and substance abuse facilities in the state of AZ.  We are currently looking for an Billing Specialist II for our Mesa location.

Responsible for ensuring the integrity of the claims processing system performed under the supervision of the Director of Billing and the Billing Coordinators and works with co-workers to resolve payment and billing issues. Submits timely and accurate electronic and/or hardcopy behavior health claims.  (New, Resubmit, and Adjustments).  Provides claims service to internal and external recipient.
Responsible to review account information to optimize collection efforts and system recording events to expedite reimbursement.
Trends data to identify potential system and reimbursement issues.  Research and completes special projects as identified.

Demonstrates competency in the performance of job-related skills appropriate to his/her customer populations and departmental services in accordance with the Code of Federal Regulations, Arizona Administrative Code, Arizona Department of Health Services/Department of Behavioral Health Services Provider Manual, Arizona Office of Behavioral Health Licensure, the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities, Community Bridges Policies and Procedures, RBHA/TRBHA provider manuals and clinical cost center budgets.

Skills / Requirements

Minimum of 3 - 5 years working in a Behavioral Health field with a focus on billing behavioral health claims, auditing clinical files for claims justification, knowledgeable in commercial billing procedures/guidelines is a plus, an understanding of ADHS/DBHS, RBHA, OBHL compliances, accounting, an understanding of health care terminology (preferred but not required) to include but not limited to CPT-4, HCPC and Revenue Codes, the submission of HCFA 1500 and UB claims (preferred but not required
