Job Description :
ABM Janitorial is seeking an experienced manager with a proven track record for one of the best opportunities in Houston.
JOB SUMMARY/RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsible for the operational and financial success of respective ABM branch and the Districts associated with it.
Essential Job Functions:
Financial: Fully responsible for all financial aspects of branch operations, including budgeting, labor review, billing, receivables and payables. Ensure staff are following proper accounting practices in these areas.
Budgets: Responsible for completion of annual budget and are held accountable to keep revenue and costs within this budget. Must be able to forecast future performance against annual budget and assist in the collection of overdue accounts.
Policy: Responsible for ensuring the branch follows and adheres to established company policies (SOX, Federal and State regulations, etc.).
Sales: Must ensure Branch meets annual sales goals and assist sales personnel in their efforts to sell new business. Provide ability to operational team to sell TAG jobs and ensure TAG commissions are paid in a timely manner.
Customer relations: Make sure all customers are contacted on a regular basis in regards to the service they are receiving. Entertain customers and prospective customers according to company policy.
Personnel: Oversee the hiring and training practices of the branch and work with the Human Resource Department in this area. Make sure all hiring, promotions and termination policies are strictly adhered to by branch personnel responsible for the respective activities.
Supervision: Maintain follow-through of supervisory activities in the areas of training, customer service and employee relations. Make sure that job inspections are properly made and that any deficiencies are corrected. Insure that the approved record systems are maintained and that payroll records are completed on a timely basis.
Supplies: The branch manager is ultimately responsible for the purchasing and inventory management of the supplies.
Office: Supervise office operations including bookkeeping, payrolls, office procedures, correspondence, purchasing and payment of bills. Order capital expenditures.
Regulatory Activity: Understand the laws and regulations governing the business and what their impact is on the company. Know what licenses are required to operate the business and make sure the necessary reports required are submitted properly and that the branch is in compliance with them.
Insurance: See that accidents involving vehicles, public liability, property damage, and fidelity claims are investigated and reported to the proper authorities. Be sure local insurance policies are kept in force and employees are covered properly under a fidelity bond. Work closely with insurance company adjusters when a claim situation comes up.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Education/Training College degree required. MBA preferred. Prior management experience and training required.
Job Knowledge/Experience Prior management or supervisor experience in the janitorial field preferred. Need a thorough knowledge of company policies and procedures. Must have a basic understanding of accounting and business. Must be proficient on the computer.
License(s) Valid State driver s license.
Language/Communication Requirements Must be able to speak and understand English and be able to communicate in a professional manner. Spanish is preferred.
Writing Skills High school writing abilities required, college writing level preferred.
Computer Skills - Must be able to prepare basic Word and Excel documents.
