Responsibilities:
* Provide financial analysis and cost accounting support in a manufacturing environment to a variety of information users
* Participate in annual budget process and make contributions towards annual standard cost update
* Assist in the development, implementation and analysis of performance measures
* Participate in monthly accounting close and support other finance activities
* Work under general direction of the local Finance Manager on ad hoc projects, such as financial or cost analysis projects
* Support business and business finance staff with analytics of monthly product line P&L's
* Coordinate and execute monthly finance extracts between SAP and PeopleSoft.
* Monitor SAP account logic and work with IT to make any process improvements.
* Maintain Corporate GL Structure mapping utility between SAP and PeopleSoft
* Maintain fixed cost allocations and update accordingly with any new basis, departments and structures.
* Coordinate and manage local budget process, including providing historical data to owners, loading to SAP and Khalix and reconciliation thereof.
* Prepare journal vouchers for month end closing in multiple systems and legal entities.
* Analyze and monitor royalty agreements and assure payment, as specified in terms.
* Coordinate inbound freight review and account assignment and analyze ongoing freight expense of individual product lines.
* Prepare and collaborate with 3M requests for information, including but not limited to, sales history, standards and transfer costs, performance analytics and monthly sales flash to PeopleSoft
* Participate in functional and cross-functional teams and projects, as necessary. Contribute as an active member of finance team in monthly close, validation and other meetings
* Prepare and distribute monthly blue book details on company performance.
* Complete and submit monthly and yearly reporting surveys to government agencies
* Assist 3M tax by providing tax related information, as required
* Maintain ongoing analysis of raw material headwinds/inflation analysis.
* Perform audits of ProCards and monitor compliance against policy.
* On an as needed basis, contribute on tasks related to a SAP implementation
* Support required Sarbanes-Oxley reviews
* Support 3M Global Financial Standards (GFS) reviews and analysis
Responsibilities of this position may include direct and/or indirect physical or logical access to information, systems, technologies subjected to the regulations/compliance with U.S. Export Control Laws.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree or higher in finance, accounting or economics from an accredited university
* Minimum of 3 years of cost accounting experience in a manufacturing environment
Preferred Qualifications:
* MBA from an accredited university
* Minimum 1 year experience working with pivot tables and/or v-lookups in Excel
* Minimum 3 years of standard cost accounting and/or manufacturing variance analysis experience
* Minimum 3 years experience as a Financial Analyst in a manufacturing environment
* Previous PeopleSoft experience
* Minimum 3 years of SAP and/or other ERP system experience
* Previous experience with an ERP implementation or training
* Strong written and oral communications skills
