Position Description:

This candidate will work with business and technical teams to define business needs and perform business application operations and support.


Primary Responsibilities:

Gather and document business requirements

Translate business requirements in functional requirements

Perform operational processing functions

Triage and support data issues/questions

Conducts complex data analyses

Assist with creating and executing test plans

Create and maintain user documentation

Assist in work effort estimation

Anticipates customer needs and proactively develops innovative solutions to meet them

Solves complex problems and develops innovative solutions

Develop and document medium to high complexity business workflows

Analyze scope and resolution of medium to large size Operations Management (OM) and development requests

Provide clear description of problems / issues for medium to high complexity problems

Present options for problem resolution

Serves as a key resource on complex and/or critical issues

Reviews work performed by others and provides recommendations for improvement

Work with Software TPA to define business needs and operational support issues

Coordinate and interact with appropriate Clients on defect, changes, issues and enhancements that may impact development, data, workflow and/or functionality

Contribute in developing organizational functional knowledge

Demonstrate subject matter expertise in his/her chosen functional / application area

Skills / Requirements

Requirements:

5+ years IT Business Analyst experience

5+ years SDLC experience

3+ years experience with SQL Server or DB2 relational databases

5 + years data analysis experience

Advanced Microsoft Excel and Access experience

3+ years Healthcare Data experience

Bachelor's Degree or High school diploma/GED with at least 8 years in related field

Assets:

HEDIS experience
