They also develop and implement effective/strategic business solutions through research and analysis of data and business processes.


Primary Responsibilities:

• Conduct business process analysis to identify key business issues, gaps or needs


• Document ‚as-is and ‚to-be business processes


• Business Requirement gathering capability


• Process documentation capability


• Evaluate and validate analysis and develop recommendations


• Recognize gaps between current situation and desired outcome and utilize appropriate resources to obtain information, consider options and document recommendations


• Analyze root cause issue, problem solve and provide key recommendations for process improvements


• Work across a matrix environment to engage appropriate internal and external partners to assure successful analysis, option determination and tactical execution


• Demonstrate ability to communicate ideas clearly and concisely in writing and orally to individuals and groups


• Effectively engage and partner with cross-functional teams to create and deliver solutions


• Incorporate UnitedHealth Group and OptumInsight vision, mission, values and goals in all decision-making


• Generally work is self-directed and not prescribed.


• Works with less structured, more complex issues

Skills / Requirements

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree required; degree in Business, Finance, Health Administration or related field preferred


• 3+ years of experience in business/finance analysis


• Intermediate level of proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, Access, PowerPoint, Visio


• 3+ years of demonstrated process improvement, workflow, benchmarking and / or evaluation of business processes required


• Working knowledge of relational databases preferred
