The Financial Systems Manager (FSM) is responsible for designing and implementing robust system standards & processes for the finance system solution that supports the organizations business processes.

The FSM will be responsible for managing the availability and reliability of the financial system. Along with leading and participating in the design, evaluation, testing and implementation of applications, reports, dashboard development, system break fixes, enhancements, projects, and other reporting and/or system releases or updates.

The FSM will be responsible for being the primary contact regarding the company’s financial systems, from system configuration processes to sophisticated accounting, planning, budgeting, and reporting that is actively used by the organization.

The FSM will have strong communication skills and must interact regularly and comfortably across various departments, speaking in business acumen with the business field with the ability to effectively translate to technical acumen with IT teams and cross functional Management teams.

The FSM will have leadership qualities of mentoring, growing and motivating financial system professionals, along with taking responsibility and accountability of accomplishing team goals.

The FSM is responsible for the development of an effective system planning process for updates to stay code compliant, which includes the creation of an integrated project schedule that encompasses all aspects for the financial system. Along with the actual execution in conformance to plans and the continuing update and adjustment of plans to fit changing business-related circumstances.

The FSM is responsible for making timely, effective decisions and effectively communicating those decisions both up and down the support, project & management structures.

Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Technology or related field OR equivalent work experience required
- Master's degree, preferred

Experience
- Seven (7) or more years of experience working with financial systems, required with degree
- Eleven (11) or more years of experience working with financial systems, required without a degree
- Prior experience working within a professional services firm such as accounting, financial services, business advisory and/or banking industries, preferred
- Prior supervisory experience, required

Software
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, required
- Proficient in the use of PeopleSoft Financials, especially query and reporting functions, preferred
- Proficient in the use of Business Intelligence Reporting Tools (i.e. OneStream, Hyperion, COGNOS, Business Objects), preferred
