As a Business Analyst, you will be providing database development, data analysis and data mining to help produce forecasts, monthly rebate accruals, and FP&A reporting requirements. You will assist in the extraction of information from multiple data warehouses, tables, and other sources and calculate complex rebate terms and contribute to creative solutions.

In this role, you will support the formulary rebate business and will review and account for all rebates from drug manufacturers along with reviewing the rebates that can be passed along to clients. You will work to understand client commitments and track performance against them. Your experience in data systems and applications will allow you to directly impact the Company's P&L.
You will gain heavy insight into complex, varying contract terms and our data environment in order to be able to accurately calculate and report the financial position of rebates and analyze variances and driver. By utilizing your expertise in Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Access and SQL, you will perform data mining activities using large data sets. Knowledge of Visual Basic is a plus.

The Rebates FP&A team is an exciting fast-paced environment where every single day is rarely the same as the previous. Our team is responsible for budgeting, forecasting, and accounting for all formulary rebates for CVS Health. The Rebate FP&A team’s reports and analysis are critical to the company’s success, guiding decisions and driving results.

Position duties & responsibilities:
- Manage complex databases to assist in the manipulation of large data sets.
- Provide variance analysis to understand potential risk and opportunities with respect to financial results
- Ability to automate workbooks and databases using VBA, SQL, or Access Basic.
- Complete ad-hoc reporting and analysis to support broader finance group as needed.
- Work with business partners to frame the financial impact and communicate up through financial organization.

This position will be located in Scottsdale, AZ.

Required Qualifications
- 2+ years using Microsoft Access, Teradata, Toad, or other SQL applications to extract and summarize data from large data warehouses.
- 2+ years experience using Microsoft Excel to prepare reports.

Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Visual Basic, SAP
- Experience with Tableau and Salesforce
- Have excellent verbal and written communications skills.
- Experience using business analytics to solve data-driven questions.
- Experience working in a large corporate environment
- Self-starter, goal- oriented, ability to manage multiple assignments with strict deadlines
- Financial Planning & Analysis or Analytics experience

Bachelor's Degree required.
