Developmental Pathways has a great opportunity for a Financial and Data Analyst in our Community Engagement department who will provide management with financial modeling and business case analysis, including meaningful financial and statistical data to assist with making sound business decisions about local and other funding. Our Financial and Data Analyst will be responsible for providing high-level, as well as detailed, quantitative, and qualitative analytical support and will assist with establishing and managing overall accounting processes relating to local and other funding. This position will also be responsible for current and long-range forecast process of local and other funding and will require knowledge in processing, collecting, interpreting, and validating data, and how it can be used to support the needs of internal departments, external partners, and the communities we serve.

Location & Hours: We're in the Denver, CO Metro area - our office is just south of the Denver Tech Center in Englewood, CO, which is where this position will primarily be located. You’ll get to work Monday - Thursday, typically doing a 9-hour day at 36 hours/week.

  • Assist with establishing and managing overall accounting processes related to local and other funds
  • Assist with long-range planning and forecasting
  • Make recommendations related to business needs; identify system approaches that leverage our resources and provide economies of scale
  • Assist with the annual budget process as requested; proactively make suggestions related to current and future needs
  • Define financial and data analysis reports to provide meaningful data to assist with strategic decision making
  • Assist with gathering important statistical data for monthly, quarterly, annual, and ad hoc reporting commitments to leadership, our Board of Directors, state and county partners, and other community stakeholders; this includes supporting reporting requirements for funding, including local County /Mill Levy funding
  • Assist with updating and maintaining accounting policies and procedures and ensure these procedures are followed
  • Ensure that projects are delivered on-time, within scope, and within budget
  • Assist in the definition of project scope and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility
  • Ensure resource availability and allocation
  • Help develop, support, and oversee detailed project plans to monitor and track progress
  • Delegate project tasks based on staff members’ individual strengths, skill sets, and experience levels
  • Track project performance, specifically to analyze the successful completion of short and long-term goals
  • Develop spreadsheets, diagrams, and process maps to document needs
  • Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation
  • Monitor and oversee the performance of work groups and assure goals and timelines are being met; coach and problems-solve with group members as appropriate
  • Assist in creating department and agency cohesion; provide a positive influence on team morale; promotes cooperation and team synergy
  • Act as the liaison between Community Engagement and programs by providing financial and data analysis support and assistance (such as interpreting financial statements, data reports, etc.)
  • Formulate solutions to complex problems relating to the work of local and other funding
  • Conduct workgroups, create implementation plans and execute necessary changes for increased efficiency and effectiveness of local and other funding

Must have’s to be our Financial and Data Analyst!

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance or similar area is required
  • Relevant experience with/ within a multi-company organization is desired
  • Experience in data analytics is desired
  • Thorough working knowledge of GAAP
  • Strong fluency with Excel formulas and reporting functions is required
  • Experience with financial modeling, budgeting and financial reporting is required
  • Superior analytic and communication (written and verbal) skills with the ability to present data to interested parties with varying technical backgrounds
  • Proven analytical skills; ability to review complex data, draw conclusions, and make recommendations
  • Demonstrates ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively with a diverse group of individuals both within and outside the agency
  • Displays strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills (oral and written)
  • Must be a self-starting team player with a strong sense of urgency; able to effectively problem solve and multi-task
  • Ability to work flexible hours
  • Excellent organizational skills and sense of urgency are required
  • Demonstrated ability to consistently provide exceptional customer service, even under occasionally stressful conditions
  • Valid Colorado driver license/proof of auto insurance
  • Meet and maintain our driving requirements - no suspensions/revocations in the past 3 years and no more than 2 tickets/moving violations in the past 3 years
