POSITION PROFILE:

Under direction of the Regional Controller, will serve as a member of the Centralized Corporate accounting and finance staff that manages the finance and accounting for the entire organization, including individual hotel properties. Work also with the entire corporate team and the property level managers/accounting staff to ensure key deadlines are met.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTION:

    -Prepare all journal entries, monitor & analyze GL accounts monthly to ensure accuracy with coding and description Perform month end closing procedures including month end accruals, allocations and charge backs
    -Assist in the preparation of monthly financial statements, financial packages, and other informational reports/analysis. Assist in the development of monitoring of policies and procedures within generally accepted accounting principles and corporate guidelines to ensure sufficient cash flow and reduced operating cost
    -Ensure underlying accounting records are accurate, complete and in accordance with all record keeping legalities and regulatory requirements.
    -Audit daily system transactions for reporting accuracy and prepare revenue report for distribution. Assist with all hands-on accounting aspects of the company, and work in conjunction with Regional Controller and senior leadership in the aggressive and successful growth of the company.
    -Support the acquisitions team during due diligence and negotiations of acquisition. Lead month-end and year-end close process. Ensure adequate controls are installed and maintained for the protection of the organization's financial assets against loss or misappropriation.
    -Communicate financial metrics to senior management. Coordinate and prepare for external audits. Assist Regional Controller in monitoring and confirming financial condition by conducting audits and providing information to external auditors.
