Job Description



JOB SUMMARY: Minimum 5 years' experience in 4 diamond or 4-star hotel or restaurant, accurately balance all hotel income for 24-hour operating period and handle all guest service aspects of the hotel front desk. Function as Manager on Duty for the third shift.

JOB DUTIES:

    -Prepare, create and update various monthly reports used by Night Audit staff including updating budget information in the Daily Management Report.
    -Balance and audit for accuracy hotel, golf, spa and food & beverage revenue and gift cards. Prepare relevant reports.
    -Prepare and distribute Daily Management report no later than 5:00 AM.
    -Balance and audit for accuracy all room and tax charges (bucket check/Potential Room Revenue Report), cashier's postings, guest and house accounts.
    -Communicate with other hotel departments as necessary to resolve accounting discrepancies and guest service issue and to request or provide information.
    -Perform all Guest Reception functions as required: booking room reservations, answering hotel phone calls, making wake-up calls, checking guests in and out, and notifying guests of messages.
    -Assist with various accounting duties including collecting/obtaining documentation for guest charges, preparing guest or group bills/invoices and verifying billing and payment instructions for guests or groups.
    -Facilitate proper security of all keys, funds, and hotel and guest property.
    -Respond quickly to guest requests in a friendly manner. Follow up to ensure guest satisfaction.
    -Provide a professional image at all times through appearance and dress.
    -Follow company policies and procedures.
    -May fulfill Manager on Duty shifts.
    -Continually strive to acquire new knowledge, skills, and information to increase efficiency and productivity.
    -Identify areas that need improvement and take necessary action to affect change.
    -Utilize all resources available to achieve the most favorable results (for the Resort and the guest) in any challenging or problem situation.
    -Constantly strive to find better ways to do what we do.
    -Promote the resort and all Northwood Companies at every opportunity.


Note: May be assigned other duties by supervisor or management

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

    -High School Diploma or equivalent
    -Previous Supervisory experience
    -A minimum of two (2) years hospitality work experience required

SKILLS & ABILITIES:

    -Excellent organizational and time management skills
    -Excellent verbal and written communication skills
    -Customer Service skills
    -Ability to work the overnight shifts as well as some weekends and holidays
    -Mathematical skills, including basic math, basic accounting, percentages and variances are used a large portion of the time.


PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

    -Ability to talk, hear, see, stand, walk, bend, kneel, stoop, crouch, crawl, climb, reach and perform repetitive motions.
    -Able to work in a fast paced, stressful environment
    -Ability to push, pull, lift, carry or otherwise move up to 50 lbs.
