Job Description

Accounting Specialist:  (Part-Time position:  Preferred shifts would be 3 set days/week for 24 hours/week (Monday-Friday, 9 am-5:30 pm)

The position of Accounting Specialist, under the direct supervision of the Accounting Manager, has primary responsibility for government grant tracking, billing and reporting, assisting with Accounts Receivable, bank reconciling, reconciling clients’ trust accounts, record keeping, and government reports.  Must also be willing to assist with duties such as filing, and copying, etc.

Must possess a high school education and two years accounting experience preferred but not required. Must have strong familiarity with accounting principles and procedures, and excellent computer skills. Must have excellent written, communication, organizational and interpersonal skills. Must be able to interface, maintain and establish cooperative working relationships with staff, other agencies, and the clients we serve, and be able to work independently.
