Senior Accountant - 5 years of experience required Interested Candidates please forward resume/questions to Ryan Webb - ryan.webb@mosaicinc.org General Summary: Under the supervision of the Controller, applies generally accepted accounting principles to analyze financial information and prepare various monthly and yearly financial reports for use by the company's management, auditors, and outside parties, including funders and government agencies. This Senior Accountant will be a "data specialist" and will work within systems and partner with IT department and program leadership to create dashboards and various financial reports. Verifies accuracy and usefulness of all financial reports and data, with a special emphasis on grants and contract reporting. Supports Controller and Chief Financial Officer with other tasks as needed. Responsibilities: Compile and analyze financial information on a monthly basis to ensure the accuracy of the Company's financial statements and reports. Assist in preparing and evaluating monthly financial statements, including reconciliation of general ledger accounts, preparation of entries to accounts, closing procedures and consolidation with subsidiaries, and review of material account variances. Examine financial records and collects information to prepare reports and make recommendations. Collaborate with the IT Department in the preparation of meaningful reports including assisting that department in understanding the needs of Finance as well as reviewing such reports to confirm reasonableness and relevance. Resolve accounting discrepancies and assists department supervisors with understanding program financial statements. Assist with developing the annual operating budget with the Controller. Prepare reports for management and other departments, utilizing report writing capabilities. Collaborate with other Mosaic team members on projects to support organization and department goals and objectives. Assist with various annual audits, filings, and tax returns and interacts with external auditors in completing audits, including annual account reconciliations and annual financial statement preparation. Work on several large scale projects related to pricing and market strategies. Requires: Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance. CPA or CPA Candidate required. At least 5 years of experience with the required accounting responsibilities. Grant Accounting experience is preferred. Comfort level with EMRs, GL system and various report writing software. Experience in non-profit or healthcare strongly preferred. Must be able to work independently, be detail oriented and organized. Strong accounting skills. Assistant Director of Billing - 5 years of experience required Summary: Assist Director with overall billing function for from service entry through reconciliation. Provides supervision to Revenue Cycle/Billing Team. This also includes implementing policies and procedures, monitoring for compliance, supporting finance office and other administrative requirements. Responsibilities: Billing Department Activities Provides guidance regarding billing team priorities and expectations. Responsible for ongoing feedback and coaching of revenue cycle/billing team. Coordinates and follows up on any and all related corrective actions to prevent future discrepancies and deviations from expected performance, to include but not limited to, developing, facilitating implementation and monitoring compliance with policies/procedures. Ensures compliance with hospital/facility policies and procedures and governmental/accreditation regulations. Identify process improvement opportunities and generates support from all appropriate Mosaic and Non Mosaic resources to ensure suitable solutions. Personnel Development Provides guidance and training opportunities to promote job growth. Evaluates staff on an annual basis and recommends salary/wage equity adjustments as appropriate. Requires: Must have a HS diploma/GED; at least 5 years of billing office experience in charge entry, payment posting and follow-up; and 3 years of supervisory experience. Must be highly organized and able to communicate effectively with subordinates, peers and higher-level personnel as well as third-party payer representatives and customers Specific knowledge and use of professional billing information systems, must possess and maintain expert knowledge of all systems utilized within the professional services revenue cycle, including the ability to work with staff and programs. Develop and provide advice on analytics and reports that help target and trend revenue cycle performance. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Must have high functioning knowledge of Mosaic Program functions. Participates in educational/professional development activities. Participates in multidisciplinary quality and service improvement teams as appropriate. Participates in meetings, serves on committees and represents the department and hospital/facility in community outreach efforts as appropriate.
