Summary:

The Payroll Administrator reports to the Controller and is in our corporate headquarters in Norcross, GA. The role will be responsible for administering a multi-state payroll with 260+ employees.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Follows payroll procedures and policies

  • Maintains up to date knowledge of payroll requirements regarding taxation of salaries, benefits, etc.

  • Maintains confidential information

  • Resolves payroll variances

  • Administers and tracks garnishments

  • Supports and responds to employee questions regarding payroll

  • Gathers and reviews semi-monthly timesheets for company payroll policy compliance

  • Uploads payroll data into third party payroll service

  • Maintains basic payroll data in ERP job costing system

  • Creates and posts journal entries into General Ledger from third party payroll provider

  • Apply for and maintain unemployment and withholding tax accounts with multiple state agencies

  • Process and verify appropriate pay for both exempt and non-exempt payroll

  • Processes benefits invoices

  • Manages benefit deductions to include 401K, HSA, FSA, Medical, Dental and Vision

  • Supports external CPA with annual 401K audit

  • Serves on the 401K Committee

Skill / Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Certified Payroll Professional preferred

  • Bachelors Degree in Accounting, Business Administration or commensurate

  • Proliant Ready Pay Online software experience is a plus!

  • Strong mathematical skill set

  • Excellent organization ability

  • Minimum 3 years experience with payroll administration

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, etc.)
