The Senior Accountant is responsible for overseeing Accounting Operations (A/P, A/R, Payroll, etc.). The position is also responsible for financial reporting, accounting projects, and reporting on our internal control environment. This includes leading the accounting-related projects, providing the analysis for consolidated financial statements, and working across the company to develop and maintain effective internal controls.

What You'll Do:

The Senior Accountant is responsible for accounting operations, financial reporting, accounting projects, accounting research, accounting standard adherence, compliance analysis with federal, state, local and other laws and regulations, reporting on our internal control environment, and providing continuous improvement recommendations and support. This includes leading the accounting-related projects, providing the analysis for consolidated financial statements, working across the Company to develop and maintain effective internal controls, and maintaining working knowledge of current and upcoming accounting standards and regulatory changes, and knowledge of accounting best practices.
• Assist with quarterly finance results reporting and detailed analysis
• Document and analyze technical accounting topics and transactions.
• Implement new accounting standards including issuance and updating of corporate accounting policies and procedures.
• Define, implement, and document adequate and effective processes to improve the financial reporting cycle
• Identify and implement process improvements as part of continuous improvement and evolution of Accounting processes
• Strengthen and improve internal controls, including potential implementation of controls programs compliant with applicable requirements.
• Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure alignment on project scope, design, quality, schedule, and outcomes.
• Utilize and optimize templates and processes provided by PMs to own requirements gathering for new or modified functionality across all Accounting & Reporting related systems

What We're Looking for:
• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• CPA preferred
• 3-7 years of related accounting experience
• Excellent technical accounting skills with detailed understanding of current and new accounting standards and reporting requirements
• Self-starter, excellent communicator and team player
• Exceptional aptitude for project management and multitasking in a fast paced environment

Preferred Qualifications
• Experience with Dynamics GP and/or related Accounting Software preferred.
• Accounting degree.
• Corporate Finance experience with service and/or franchisor organizations, and/or public accounting experience are a plus.
• Proficiency in utilizing office and other applications such as Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Dynamics CRM, Outlook, and Sharepoint.
• A team player who is an effective oral and written communicator.
• Written analyses and presentations are clear, concise, and reflect polish and precision.
• Accurate, thorough, with strong attention to detail and a strong sense of ownership.
• An excellent technical problem solver that addresses complex opportunities with systematic approaches, advanced research skills, quantitative and qualitative decision making, and change management methodologies.
• Strong organizational skills, proactive, and reliable.
