There is a Full Charge Bookkeeper position being filled by Accountemps that might suit your needs. The short-term temporary Full Charge Bookkeeper will work in Oro Valley, Arizona. If you think you have what it takes to be responsible for all general accounting and bookkeeping functions, including the preparation of financial statements, as well as establishing and maintaining the organization's accounting principles, practices, procedures, and initiatives, you might be a good candidate for this job.

Major responsibilities

- Maintaining historical records by filing documents

- Performing accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, including collections

- Tracking fixed assets and preparing depreciation schedules

- Ensuring accurate and timely monthly, quarterly and year end close

- Following federal, state, and local legal requirements by studying requirements, implementing adherence to requirements, filing reports, and advising management on needed actions

- Completing bank and general ledger reconciliations; processing payroll

- Putting together the trial balance and financial statements, including balance sheet, income statement, and cash flow statement

- Managing accounting clerks and entry-level bookkeepers

Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent, AA degree or higher in Accounting or Business preferred

- Outstanding skills in analyzing financial data and promptly generating accurate reports

- Proficient in accrual and cash basis of accounting

- Possess strong organizational and follow-up skills

- Ability to multitask efficiently and prioritize work

- Prior payroll experience preferred

- Minimum of three (3+) years of bookkeeping experience

- Demonstrated flexibility to adapt to changes in procedures

- Comprehensive knowledge of QuickBooks

- Excel and Peachtree experience a plus

- Able to work independently with a minimal amount of oversight
