This position is ideal for those who driven by a challenging work environment with many components. This Staff Accountant role's duties will require preparing journal entries, monthly and year-end closings, bank reconciliation, fixed asset maintenance, and general ledger reconciliation. You'll be interested in this position if you want to perform internal reporting during the monthly close, participate in compliance, interact with our external auditors for quarterly reviews and annual audits, and review schedules reporting processes. Located in the Phoenix, Arizona area, this position is a challenging, multi-faceted opportunity to work for a growing company that recognizes and rewards hard work. We're looking for people who are detail-oriented and analytical thinkers with a talent for creating Financial Statements, Cash Flow projections, and Budgets.

Your responsibilities in this role

- Maintain, implement, and adhere to internal controls while ensuring that accounting procedures comply with GAAP

- Maintain intercompany transactions, billings, and reconciliation

- Special projects and impromptu reporting, upon request

- Perform month end close, journal entries, with minimum supervision

- Manage depreciation, fixed asset ledgers, and reconciliation

- Support the month end, quarter end and year end closing process by preparing monthly financial close workbooks

- Maintain capital lease and monthly payment schedules

- Regularly maintain and reconcile journal entries

- Participate in various department-wide initiatives

- Prepare analyses for monthly balance sheets and income statements for management to report on

- Analyze and coordinate a variety of financial data, and report it in a useful and understandable manner

- In-depth experience with month end balance sheet account reconciliations

- Produce complex journal entries and account reconciliations which include, but are not limited to, cash, prepaid expenses, and payroll


- Ability to meet deadlines

- Oracle experience is a plus

- Excellent analytical, quantitative and social skills

- BA/BS or equivalent in Accounting, Finance or Economics

- Self-starter with efficient time management and organizational skills

- Demonstrated ability to work in a dynamic and constantly changing company environment

- Efficient in ERP systems

- Proficient with spreadsheets and databases

- Outstanding organizational, written and verbal communication skills required

- Working knowledge of spreadsheets and databases

- High attention to detail and possesses excellent organizational and writing skills

- Recent and relevant accounting experience
