|Working Title||Accountant 1|
The Accounts Payable Department in the UNM Financial Services Division, is seeking a dedicated and dependable individual to join their team as an Accountant 1. The department is responsible for all University non-payroll, non-financial aid disbursements. These include payments to vendors, employees, and students using purchase orders and Chrome River expense reports.
The successful candidate will perform basic accounting functions such as 1099 reporting departmental billings, posting and processing payments, third-party invoice payments, financial queries, data analysis and preparation of month-end reconciliations. Other responsibilities include analyzing financial and operating data, reviewing and processing routine accounting data, and miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned. The successful candidate should possess excellent customer service skills, and have the ability to be flexible as daily priorities change.
|Conditions of Employment|
Bachelor's degree and successful completion of at least 9 credit hours of university-level accounting through intermediate accounting; no previous experience required.
Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis.
