The University of New Mexico Los Alamos Branch Campus is seeking an organized, detail-oriented individual who can work effectively and independently in a multi-tasking environment. Located approximately 90 miles northwest of Albuquerque, UNM-Los Alamos is a two-year branch campus of the University of New Mexico. With an emphasis on teaching excellence, the Los Alamos Campus offers academic transfer courses, as well as vocational and technical courses to the citizens of Los Alamos County and northern New Mexico.

The Fiscal Services Tech position at UNM-Los Alamos will assist in maintaining records of fiscal and budgetary controls, ledgers, and/or other related transactions. Processes routine financial documents, reconciles financial records and analyzes financial data. They will serve as the main point of contact for all student financial transactions and inquiries; to include accepting payments, advising students on UNM policies and procedures, collaborating with financial advisors on student scholarships and financial aid, initiating 3rd party contracts and billings, tracking and analyzing student debt.

The person in this position will act as coordinator and director of the campus online bookstore. This includes working with faculty to determine material, entering requests into the online system, processing orders and billings for dual credit students, coordinating the book voucher system, answering inquiries about orders for the store in general. Candidates must possess strong written and oral communications skills.

Minimum Qualifications

High school diploma or GED; at least 3 years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.

Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis.

Preferred Qualifications

Proficient in MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint
Knowledge of general accounting principles and cash management experience
Higher Education work experience
Knowledge of Banner
