|Position Summary|| |
The University of New Mexico (UNM) Alumni Association, located in the historic Hodgin Hall, was established in 1897. The Alumni Association is offering a rewarding career opportunity for the position of Sr. Fiscal Technician. The successful candidate will join a team of dedicated and highly motivated individuals that is tasked to keep UNM and its alumni communicating and connecting.
This position initiates, processes, and maintains records of a variety of complex fiscal, budgetary, and/or other associated transactions, in either direct or indirect support of accountants and/or unit management. Investigates and resolves problems related to funds, budgets, expenditures, and/or procurement practices, and provides reports and analyses on complex fiscal issues, as assigned. Provides assistance in the development, implementation, and management of fiscal systems and procedures, applying basic concepts, methods, and techniques. May serve as unit/area transaction initiator or requisitioner.
|Conditions of Employment|
High school diploma or GED; at least 5 years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.
Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis.
|Preferred Qualifications|| Knowledge of: |
· Accounting practices relative to the support of 501c(3) organizations.
· QuickBooks accounting software and related systems
· Experience working with volunteer organizations and/or leadership boards
· Bachelors’ Degree in Accounting or related field
