Enterprise Finance drives financial management for the company and maintains and enhances risk and financial controls. Key functions within Enterprise Finance include finance and accounting; Treasury; corporate development, mergers, and acquisitions; Data Management and Insights, the Customer Remediation Center of Excellence, Enterprise Shared Services, Business Process Management, and Corporate Strategy. Enterprise Finance informs shareholders, regulators, taxing authorities, team members, and leaders of the company’s financial performance through earnings releases, investor meetings and conferences, and meetings with regulators and credit rating agencies, following appropriate reporting guidelines. They also maintain and enhance risk and financial controls and lead many of the company’s shared services functions including corporate properties, security, and global services.

Enterprise FP&A is responsible for enterprise-level forecasting and financial performance analysis including support of external reporting, stress testing and resolution & recovery planning activities.  FP&A also manages the enterprise-level project prioritization process through the Investment Optimization COE.

As a member of the Enterprise FP&A Earnings Analysis team, the Finance Senior Consultant will be responsible for analyzing the earnings performance of the company relative to internal and external benchmarks. The ideal candidate will have experience preparing financial reports and schedules under tight deadlines and proven ability to thrive in cross functional teams.  This position will work closely with partners in Controllers, Corporate Strategy, Enterprise Finance, Financial Performance Management, Investor Relations, SEC Reporting, and Line of Business liaisons to support reporting or analytic needs.

The position provides an excellent opportunity to understand Wells Fargo business performance and drivers.  Attention to detail, good understanding of financial statements, ability to provide solid analysis, and aptitude for teamwork will be determining factors in selection.

The future Finance Senior Consultant will:

  • Analyze company financial performance on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis
  • Provide monthly and quarterly enterprise financial reporting for executive management, including insights on emerging company and/or industry trends
  • Prepare analysis and content for executive management presentations, including Board of Directors meetings, Investor Relations road shows, and Wells Fargo filings
  • Ensure active compliance with risk management and enterprise control requirements while continue to improve the process
  • Build effective relationships with partners in support of all deliverables


Required Qualifications

  • 6+ years of experience in one or a combination of the following: finance, accounting, analytics and reporting; or a BS/BA degree or higher in Finance, Accounting, Statistics, Economics, Business and 4+ years of experience in one or a combination of the following: finance, accounting, analytics or reporting



Desired Qualifications

  • A Masters of Business Administration (MBA)
  • Essbase and/or SmartView experience
  • Ability to communicate effectively, in both written and verbal formats, with senior executive-level leaders
  • Ability to negotiate, influence, and collaborate to build successful relationships
  • Ability to prepare management level presentations
  • Ability to synthesize complex analytical findings into executive level communications
  • Advanced Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint) skills
  • Knowledge and understanding of financial analysis, forecasting and analyzing interest income and balance sheet behavior
  • Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to successfully operate in a complex and matrixed environment
  • A BS/BA degree or higher in one or a combination of the following: Finance, Accounting, Analytics, or Reporting



Other Desired Qualifications
  • Experience analyzing income statements
  • Ability to be organized and detail oriented, with the ability to manage processes, handle multiple tasks simultaneously, and prioritize effectively 


Salary Information

The salary range displayed below is based on a Full-time 40 hour a week schedule.

CA-SF-Financial District: Min: $100,800 Mid: $144,000
IA-West Des Moines: Min: $84,000 Mid: $120,000
AZ-PHX-Northwest Phoenix: Min: $84,000 Mid: $120,000
NC-Charlotte: Min: $84,000 Mid: $120,000
